BARN OWNER FAQ’S
Barn sitters and job applicants have the option of obtaining a background check badge, which will be displayed on their profile once completed.
After the scheduled end date of the job, you will receive a notification to review the barn sitter. This will inform us that the job has been completed and provide an opportunity for you to provide feedback.
Reviews must be truthful, based on your actual experience, and may not be false, misleading, defamatory, abusive, or otherwise unlawful. BarnTribe reserves the right to remove reviews that violate these Terms.
Once the barn sitter agrees to your dates, you will receive an email notification that the booking is accepted. The barn sitter has the option to customize the rate based upon any additional information. At that time, you may receive a custom rate request, which you can accept or decline. If declined, the booking will be canceled.
Payments are processed securely through Stripe. The Barn Owner’s payment method will be charged 48 hours before the scheduled job begins. Following completion of the job, and subject to the BarnTribe Terms of Use, payment (less the applicable service fee) will be released to the Barn Sitter through Stripe.
First, you will need to set up an account with your information. Once completed, you can search for barn sitters in your area by clicking on the “find a barn sitter” button.
Keep in mind, barn owners & managers will be charged $18/month for access to the database beyond the 30-day free trial. The only additional costs are the agreed upon rates set by your chosen barn sitter.
Workers, Barn Sitters, and Vendors have the option of obtaining a background check badge, which will be displayed on their profile.
Background checks are conducted by Checkr, an independent third-party provider. Once BarnTribe receives confirmation from Checkr that the background check has been completed, a Background Verified badge will appear on the associated profile. The badge reflects completion of the background check process only and does not constitute a guarantee, certification, endorsement, or representation regarding a user’s safety, trustworthiness, qualifications, or suitability.
